General Eligibility The following criteria applies to all programs below: High school senior Critical financial need ($55,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is required) Integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity United States citizenship For more specific eligibility criteria please refer to the program listings below: Denny Sanford Scholarship (awards and amount vary by university) The Denny Sanford Scholarship Program was established in 2018 and is funded by Association Member Denny Sanford, owner and founder of First Premier Bank. High school senior planning to attend: Arizona State University (25 awards at $10,000 each) Augustana University (Sioux Falls, SD) (6 awards at $25,000 each) Black Hills State University (12 awards at $12,500 each) Dakota State University (15 awards at $10,000 each) Long Island University (10 awards at $25,000 each) National University (San Diego, CA) (10 awards at $25,000 each) Nova Southeastern University (Fort Lauderdale, FL) (5 awards at $20,000 each) South Dakota School of Mines (4 awards at $37,500 each) South Dakota State University (25 awards at $10,000 each) University of California at San Diego (10 awards at $25,000 each) University of Minnesota – Twin Cities (25 awards at $10,000 each) University of Sioux Falls (6 awards at $25,000 each) University of South Dakota (25 awards at $10,000 each) Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5
